This is a great skirt. It is very comfortable and professional looking. I can pair it with a variety of tops and jackets. I think it runs a little big and I probably could have ordered a size smaller. It is long. I am 5'10" and it hits just below my knee.
Nicer quality than the CK separates I tried on at the mall. I do not agree with the assessments that state this skirt runs small. I thought it was very true to size. Too bad because I ordered a size smaller due to the other reviews.
I'm 5'8" and 140, and I normally wear a 4 or 6. I ordered a 4, but it felt a full size too large. Nice skirt though, seemed like a good length and quality.
Solid basic in a classic style. Fits true to size, though at 5'4" I needed to have it hemmed to land just above the knee. Fabric quality ok, but not great. Good deal fir the price.

A black pencil skirt — I swear, I don’t know how I managed to go this long without one of these.

When I first looked at it a few days ago (while shopping for my mom), I couldn’t believe that it would look good on me. To be honest, I was really looking for a pencil skirt and cute top for my mom, being the lovely fashion-forward lady that she is (no sarcasm here). I have to try everything on me first, because we have a similar body structure.
I found a pencil skirt that didn’t have stupid pleating at the top, and I tried it on.
And I was right. It didn’t look good;
it looked great.
I looked phenomenal! I was so shocked that I had to walk around the dressing room a few times and then look at myself again, just to be sure that I wasn’t making it up.
I wasn’t.
I thought to myself, “Wow, I need this right now.” And because the thing was ridiculously on sale, I bought it for dirt cheap (as well as different version for my mom).
Seriously, why hasn’t anyone let me in on this secret? I’ve been missing out for YEARS.
I can’t wait to wear it again!

I own two pencil skirts. I honestly thought they’d look hideous on me, since I’m not exactly long & lean. I was wrong, and I LOVE them. Mine are long enough to hit just slightly above my calf, and they look amazing paired with blazers for a slightly more “fun” professional look.

Anything that shows off my legs makes me look good, so… skinny jeans would probably be my favorite.
I’ve never tried on a pencil skirt either! Maybe it’s time to do that. =)

I own a black pencil skirt and nothing I own is more flattering. It makes my waist look so small! I swear by my black pencil skirt, bought at H&M, and I encourage every girl I know to buy one. It’s classy, feminine, and sexy but not skanky at all. I always feel so fierce when I wear it. I’m a junior in high school and I really wish more girls would wear classic pieces such as the black pencil skirt cause, no offense, their casual “sweatpants everyday” look just does not cut it for me. However, their carelessness only serves to make me look more put-together, in my black pencil skirt, by comparison. So, kudos to you, my dear, you have entered a realm of class, sass, and perpetual fierceness.
