i love pencil skirts! I have just turned 30 and starting to appreciate the classiness and sexiness and timelessness of this style of skirt its not just for office workers and my mum! i cut up one of my tops last week and resewed the sides to fit me and voila had a pull on pencil skirt no waistband needed it was a stretch fabric. definitly gonna try more patterns and colours!

A metallic silk tweed similar to that used in the Alice and Olivia Wilhemina Metallic Tweed Jacket will do well in a pencil skirt. I bought a similar fabric several years ago from Shamash & Sons (NY). Will post when finished! This pattern will probably do well in an animal print microfiber as well — or an underlined and lined silky animal print (must have body). Very versatile with boots or heels and a sweater.

I’d have liked to see some people wearing the outfits suggested. Flat boots with a pencil skirt… nope, can’t picture it. To me, pencil skirts and heels, whether kitten or siren, is the way to go.
That said, pencil skirts are lovely. So elegant, so easy. :)
